An external consultant, commissioned by Westminster Local Authority conducted a review of our school in April 2014. Here are some of the conclusions:

“School data shows that pupils of all abilities are making accelerated progress throughout the school in reading, writing and mathematics. Children quickly become eager and confident learners and make rapid progress as a result of high quality provision. The school is a very harmonious community and extremely inclusive. This vision is shared by highly effective leaders and governors, who all play their part in driving improvement. As a result, leadership is outstanding at all levels.”

Paddington Bear author Michael Bond visits

Paddington Green Primary School

Wood & Vale picture

Pupils at a Paddington Primary school showed off their new school logo referencing the area’s most famous resident during a visit from the creator of their favourite marmalade loving bear. Paddington Bear author Michael Bond met children from Paddington Green Primary School in park Place Villas on Monday, where they were sporting new uniforms featuring the bear from “darkest Peru”. Mr Bond, whose visit coincided with his 90th birthday celebrations, said: “Paddington I hope, will teach children about being polite, having good manners and Britishness.” The pupils met a lifesize Paddington Bear and watched the 2014 film, Paddington, in a day of activities.
